Drought Warning Conditions

ATTENTION: All City of Pelican Rapids Water Customers

The City of Pelican Rapids Water Department was contacted by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources to implement water use reductions due to Drought Warning Conditions.

We are seeking assistance from all City of Pelican Rapids Water Customers to help reduce Non-essential Water Use within city limits.

Non-Essential Water Use would be considered as follows:

  • Lawn Irrigation
  • Power Washing (buildings, driveways, sidewalks, patios, etc.)
  • Vehicle or boat washing (Except car washing businesses)
  • Swimming pool or hot tub filling

We realize this may be an inconvenience, but we are trying to conserve for the essential uses of water such as:

  • Drinking 
  • Cooking 
  • Bathing
  • Firefighting

The City will promptly post when the water restrictions are lifted. Please check the City web site (www.pelicanrapids.com), the City Facebook page (Pelican Rapids City Page), or call City Hall at 863-7076.
