Stage 4A work will begin soon! You’ll start to see workers out on Highway 108 east next week, but the hard closure won’t go into effect until after Labor Day.

When Highway 108 east closes on Sept. 3, weather permitting, in-town traffic will be directed to Fourth Street SE and Second Avenue SE. 

Crews will begin just east of the roundabout at Highway 59. They’ll start with removals up to 2 1/2 Street, and work on the underground utility replacements in this area first.

A reminder that whatever they start on this year, they have to be able to finish, so progress will continue block-by-block in Stage 4A as the weather allows.

As always, access to businesses and residences will be maintained. You’ll want to check in with your destination on the best way to get to them. This first section of Stage 4A has some of the deepest utilities on the project, so expect some restrictions for your safety.
