City Statement Regarding ICE Activity

The City of Pelican Rapids is aware of recent activity by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) within our community. We understand that such activity can create concern and uncertainty for many of our residents.

As a municipal government, we are nonpartisan. Our responsibility is to serve every person who lives, works, or visits our city, regardless of background or status. That commitment does not change.

The City routinely cooperates with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies as required by law. At the same time, we remain dedicated to protecting the rights, safety, and well‑being of all residents, and our focus continues to be community safety, trust, and service.

If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to City Hall (218-863-7076) or the Police Department’s non‑emergency line (218-863-1351). We are here to support our community and ensure that everyone feels safe and respected.
