The City of Pelican Rapids was pleased to assist Strand Ace Hardware Pelican Rapids with securing a Community Growth Partnership Grant of $25,000 from the Otter Tail County, Minnesota Community Development Agency.
The grant will help Strand Hardware fund their project of acquiring and demolishing a neighboring building making way for a new parking lot for their business. Along with providing more parking for their business, it will be utilized to display merchandise outside as it will no longer be allowed within MnDOT right-of-way after the street project. This will help alleviate some of the downtown parking issues as well.
